Naked selfies are always a risk, and not just if you're a reality TV star or James Franco.

Even if you're willing to take the risk of sending it to someone, hoping they won't send it on to all their mates, how would you feel if it was never truly deleted?

Research has found that, like snapchat, Android phones' 'factory reset' function fails to properly delete data.

Oh dear.

Avast researchers managed to recover data from 20 second-hand smartphones bought from eBay.

Along with around 40,000 regular, clothed photos, they found more than a thousand pics of men and women in "various stages of undress".

Android has explained that this kind of thing apparently won't happen with newer phones

IPhone 4 and beyond users can sleep easy knowing their racy images are just on their phones for as long as they want it.

Oh,and whoever they send it to, and whoever they send it to...
