A Fifty Shades of Grey-inspired BDSM fetish club has been banned from holding meetings in Trumpington, Cambridge on the grounds of indecency.

The steamy 'Peer Rope Cambridge' group wanted to hold workshops on spanking, erotic hypnosis and domination, but the sleepy village wants their venue to be used for coffee mornings and PTA meetings instead.

The Trumpington committee banned the 'relationship support' meetings after locals complained.

Hall manager Barbara Fernandez told the Daily Mirror, "It did not say bondage on the booking. We provide services for little old ladies and child care groups. Some of our old ladies who play bingo will be upset."

Local resident Phoebe Dale, 86, is also quoted as saying, "It is shocking sex workshops have been going on near me."

Sadly members of the Peer Rope club won't get to enjoy 12 October's session on how to "get a bottom's attention with canes". Sad, sad times.
