Over 30% of single women told the mag they hadn't been on a 'real' date in more than a year, and 88% of attached women don't have regular date nights.
And what constitutes a 'real' date? One where you get dressed up, leave the house, don't talk about bills, kids, when the rubbish needs to go out and don't touch your phone once.
"If you want to keep your marriage alive, you must, must, must make a date night once a week," explains Lyss Stern, mother of three and CEO of DivaMoms.com, to NYDaily.
"Lying in bed watching Netflix and drinking wine is not going to do it," she added. Way to crap all over our perfect evening Lyss.
"Sustaining intimacy is probably the most challenging task a human being has in his or her lifetime," adds Jared Scherz, a psychologist specialising in couples.
Experts recommend that couples aim for one proper date night a week to keep the magic alive.
