Music and movie stars come together in a new campaign for climate change.

Music and movie stars come together in a new campaign for climate change. This December, world leaders will come together for the United Nations Climate Conference in Copenhagen charged with finding a way the world can work together to stop global warming. Nearly 15,000 officials and diplomats from over 200 countries are due at the 11-day meeting that experts are already calling the most significant gathering in history. Can the world be saved in just a week and a half? With all our help, maybe.

To raise awareness for the meeting, former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, along with Bob Geldof – who knows a thing or two about launching campaigns – have announced the Tck Tck Tck campaign. The aim is to enforce the right amount of public pressure on those making the key decisions.

So how can you help? Well, from 1 October you can download the campaign’s official single, a star-laden cover of the 1987 Midnight Oil classic Beds Are Burning. Featuring the likes of Mark Ronson, Tyson Ritter, Simon Le Bon, Jamie Cullum, Milla Jovovich, Marion Cotillard, Lily Allen and many more, it’s certainly not short on star power. By downloading the free single and video you sign a musical petition, voicing your support for climate change to the world. The aim is to make the song the most downloaded in history, so let your friends and family know so they can have their say too.

But don’t stop there, you can also show your support by buying an exclusive pair of Tck Tck Tck dog tags. Costing just £5, every pair is individually numbered – Kofi Annan has already bagged No 1 – and all the money raised goes toward the fight for climate justice. Order yours to find out which number you’ll be.

We’re proud to say handbag.com has signed up to be a media partner for this vital campaign so be sure to check back over the coming months for all the Tck Tck Tck news, features and exclusives.
