Desert Island dishes- the 'Lost' hunk 8
handbag.com has the latest celebrity gossip, entertainment news and celebrity interviews. handbag.com talks to 'Lost' actor Terry O'Quinn.
Terry O'Quinn
Said by his castmates to be the most like his character, Terry is comfortable in his skin. A veteran of TV shows such as 'Alias', 'The West Wing' and 'The X Files', the 54-year-old is a sexy older guy who is now coming into his own on television. He loves the fact that 'Lost' keeps him on his toes: 'Everything is something I found out afterwards,' he laughs. 'JJ called and said "I have this role" and I said "I'll take it!"'
Success with the ladies
He keeps himself away from the rest of the cast to maintain his air of mystery as Locke but that just adds to his brooding air. 'The show is a big deal and it is really such a rush,' he says. 'I had been sneaking along for so long, doing this and that, and all of a sudden one hit pops up.'
How to woo him
Be bold. Terry clearly likes to be fearless and even hurt himself while rehearsing knife-throwing for his role. 'They gave me these knives and said I could use them, so I had to practise but I ended up in hospital,' he laughs. But respect his space - he likes to be alone some of the time. 'I tend to be Locke-ish and I tend to just hole up,' says Terry.
Eligibility
Sadly, gorgeous Terry has been married to his equally lovely wife Lori for more than 25 years - but they do have two grown-up sons! 'If I was really stranded on a desert island, I would take my books, my wife and Josh Holloway,' he says, 'because I love my wife but I am going to need some time to read my books and she's crazy about Josh Holloway!'
