Alexandra Burke: I'd love a Cheryl duet

handbag.com met last year’s X Factor winner Alexandra Burke to talk about her new single Bad Boys, Cheryl Cole’s new single and the new X Factor format.

Alexandra Burke has said that fans anxious to see her duet with with Cheryl Cole on this year’s X Factor should “watch this space…”  Rumours have been rife that the pair will appear on the live shows of the programme together, and when questioned about it Alexandra giggled, “I can’t confirm that rumour, but all I’ll say is that I’d love to duet with Cheryl Cole – and watch this space…”

Alexandra was also quick to jump to Cheryl’s defence when asked about rumours that her former mentor is nervous about singing her single Fight For This Love on the live shows. “When you’re by yourself it’s probably going to feel scary for that one minute, but I’m sure when she gets that mic in her hand she’s going to be like, ‘Right, this is my moment, let’s beast it out.’”

 
Alexandra Burke releases 'Bad Boys' on October 12. The album Overcome follows on October 19.
