Go on, fess' up? How often do you take a 'quick peak' at your work emails on your smartphone on the commute home or during the TOWIE ad break?

Now imagine if doing that was actually illegal.

A new labour agreement in France means that employees have to switch off their work phones at 6pm sharp.

Workers' unions noticed that with the rise in smartphones came the rise in working hours. And that's a big no no for a nation that introduced the 35-hour week back in 1999.

And no taking a quick look at anything work related on your laptop either. In fact, French bosses aren't allowed to put any pressure on employees to reply gone 6pm, while they relax at home or have a drink at a très chic bar with their friends.
