According to reports, Simon Cowell's label have decided to let James go after lyrics in new track Follow The Leader, 'glamourised terrorism'.
Though James claims his song should be heard in its full context - that being the mindset of a crazy fan - the words that angered Syco were 'I'm gonna blow up your family like I'm a terrorist'. Hmm.
Talking to The Sun on Sunday, a source said, "[James] has done himself no favours with his outbursts. It's as if he's almost willing Syco to drop him.
"Simon and Syco have been extremely loyal to James throughout his problems but there's only so much they are prepared to put up with.
"It feels like the end of the road for him at Syco - James has been his own worst enemy."
While there's been no word from Simon yet, James has (of course) commented on Twitter.
As far as I know I am still with syco but I am exclusively signed to Sony. People look too deeply into the media circus. It's about music.— James Arthur (@JamesArthur23) April 6, 2014
