Sherlock season three came to a climactic end yesterday, with not only the demise of Charles Augustus Magnessen - at the hands of Sherlock - but also the apparent revival of arch enemy Moriarty.
The drama finished with a clip of Sherlock's nemesis, believed to have shot himself in the head, appearing on all TV screens across the country.
His creepy joker-like face sprang up with the caption, "did you miss me?"

Speaking after the show, the creators took to Twitter to answer a Q&A about the show.
Typically cagey about the future of the show, they did assure fans that only Benedict Cumberbatch could continue with the role.

One thing Moffat did hint at was that Mrs Hudson, Sherlock's landlady would become the best villain to date.
Asked who their favourite villain was he responded, "Mrs Hudson... stay tuned! ^SM"
