Lily Allen has taken a very public swipe at Miley Cyrus, Blurred Lines and the music industry's obsession with weight in her new single, Hard Out Here.

We think the mum-of-two brilliantly explains (and then rips to shreds) the music industry's sexualisation of women and the double standards accepted between male and female stars. In short, you go girl!

You can watch the video below to see for yourself, but here are some of our favourite quotable lyrics for your consideration...

"Don't need to shake my ass for you / 'Cause I've got a brain"

"You should probably lose some weight / 'Cause we can't see your bones / You should probably fix your face/ Or you'll end up on your own"

If you've been seething about the Blurred Lines video, Lily makes a genius little reference to one of the most controversial lines in the song...

"Don't you want to have somebody who objectifies you? Have you thought about your butt, who's gonna tear it in two?"

Some of our favourite female celebs have got behind Lily too, including Girls star Lena Dunham who Tweeted, "Aw hell yeah @lilyallen give 'em the business <3".

Some of our other favourite females have been backing her too...

So the debate is in session. Most news outlets have rushed to pit Miley against Lily in some strange fight to the death, so who do you think will win? Miley's brand of 'I don't care what you think' rebellion or Lily's satirical slamming of the industry?
