There is so much wrong with this we just don't even know where to begin.
Speaking on the Jonathan Ross Show, the TV chef said, 'Megan's 15, she's here tonight with her boyfriend...They've been spending a lot of time in her room recently. But revising. Revising. They seem to be spending a lot of time revising and yet the results aren't…'
He continued, 'I've been a bit naughty over the last couple of weeks because I got Jack [Gordon's son] a little Go-Pro. One of those little secret cameras...So I said to him, "Look mate, here's twenty quid, go and target your big sister's room and put that camera right at the top left-hand side of the wardrobe." So, Megan, I'd like to talk to you about your revising.'
We imagine Megan wanted to ground to just swallow her up.
This invasion of privacy is just so inappropriate, not to mention how insanely creepy we find this, we haven't been able to scoop our jaws up off the floor for a good hour.
And we're not alone...
Gordon Ramsey setting up a spy camera in his 15-year-old daughter's bedroom? Creepy. Don't care if he's her dad... that's all kinds of wrong— Natalie Edwards (@NatalieSEdwards) October 18, 2013
It seems Ramsay is not the first. Last year an American college student was granted a civil stalking order against her overprotective parents after they installed spying software on her electronic devices. We recommend Megan, you look in to this further.
If parents like Ramsay are concerned about what their teenage children are up to, they should take the time to educate and communicate with them, not break their trust and invade their privacy.
