Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has confessed in a new interview that Twitter trolls nearly 'destroyed' her, and that it is time for women to be more supportive of one another.
'I like the idea that it's time for women to stop bashing other women,' the Victoria's Secret model told Elle magazine.
'Certain things have happened in the last few years that have humbled me and made me less judgemental of other women - particularly other women in my position,' she continued.
'I'm a real girl's girl and, the older I get, I become more pro women doing what they need to do to achieve their ambitions…We need to celebrate each other more - everybody fails and makes mistakes,' mused the model.
The call to arms comes after Rosie revealed that reading what people said about her online and on Twitter forced her to quit social media two years ago, temporarily shutting her Twitter account.
'I read everything on the internet and I got destroyed by it,' she said.
'I panicked. I was unhappy because I was nervous and insecure, so I cut it off. Today I am in a healthier and happier place,' she explained.
The 26-year-old stunner also opened up about her long-term relationship with actor and all round action hunk, Jason Statham, who is 19 years older. The loved-up pair have been dating since 2010.
'Many models are in long-term relationships for stability. Admittedly, not always with great men, but it gives them something to come home to, something grounding. That's how I see my relationship.'
She continued, 'Well, I see it in many ways but one of the most beautiful things is that I feel at home whenever I am in the world because of him. You've got someone special to go back to when the s**t hits the fan.'
The full Rosie Huntington-Whiteley interview appears in the October issue of Elle UK, on sale Wednesday, September 4, 2013.
