Dermot O'Leary has confirmed that Gary Barlow will leave X Factor at the end of this year's tenth series.
Speaking at the premiere of One Direction's This is Us, the host said that the Take That star has called time on his days as the judge of the reality show.
Will that mean a return for Simon Cowell?
Dermot said, "If Simon comes back the dynamic would be very different. Gary wouldn't be there – he'll be leaving at the end of this year."
"Simon is a great judge so we'd welcome him back, but Gary's been such a great head judge as well."
When asked if he would like to have a go at judging himself, he said, "Oh yeah man. I'd love to judge. I'd be so strict - I'd be nice and strict. I'd be so hardcore. I'd say it how it is."
Gary's exit comes just weeks after we reported that there was speculation that he would leave the show.
Fellow judge Louis Walsh announced that he'll leave at the end of the series which will kick off on 31 August.
