Louis Walsh has announced his intention to quit The X Factor after this year's tenth series airs.
Walsh, who is the only judge to have consistently appeared on the show since it first aired in 2004, has said he will not be returning to mentor on the talent show in 2014.
"I'm happy this is going to be my last year," Walsh told Radio Times. "I've been judging X Factor for ten years so I've done it all."
For one last time, Walsh will rejoin Nicole Scherzinger and Gary Barlow as well as Sharon Osbourne who's returning to the show after a six year break. But then that's it for the mentor.
He added: "It was never in my plan to be on TV but Simon Cowell put me there. I'm very grateful to him but I need my life back!"
Walsh has previously won with Shayne Ward and has mentored JLS, Jedward and Union J on the show.
As the show celebrates it's tenth birthday, Simon Cowell has cancelled plans to make a guest appearance during the boot camp stages. All four judges were set to fly to St Tropez to meet Cowell but he has reportedly cancelled the plan.
Could it be because of his baby drama?
