BBC bosses are looking to move forward the airing date of The Voice UK to avoid clashing with other popular shows such as Britain's Got Talent and The X Factor.
According to leaked documents seen by The Sun, the live finals of the swinging-chair music show will start in March and finish in April, just before BGT will hit ITV screens.
That then means that the pre-recorded audition rounds will be shown in February, two months earlier than previous series.
The change has come after receiving poor ratings from the last series - at one point the show only pulled in four million viewers.
A source said, "This year really is make or break for The Voice. They are planning to move it to the early part of the year when they will have a free run when it comes to Saturday entertainment.
"It will also mean The Voice is on in winter, when more people watch TV in the evenings.
"If that doesn't work they'll be forced to dump the show for good."
However last night a BBC spokesperson added, "No decision has been made. The Voice is not pinned down in the schedule yet."
The show has also undergone a shake-up as both Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue have announced they will be leaving the judging panel.
It is yet to be confirmed whether or not Sir Tom Jones and Will.i.am will be returning to those swivelling red chairs.
We sure hope they do, don't you?will
