Ten years after Devil Wears Prada hit our bookshelves, Miranda Priestly and Andy Sachs are back in sequel novel Revenge Wears Prada – but will Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep reprise their roles for a sequel film? Author Lauren Weisberger has her fingers crossed.

'It would be great to see it on the big screen again; it was a total dream come true the first time,' Weisberger told The Hollywood Reporter.

The author says there is nothing she would have changed about the 2006 adaption of her debut book, which stared Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Stanley Tucci and grossed over $300 million worldwide.

Based on Weisberger's own experience working for Anna Wintour, Devil Wears Prada saw aspiring journalist Andy Sachs taking a position at Runway magazine (or Vogue by any other name) and juggle her career aspirations and personal relationships with working for one of the fashion industry's most notoriously difficult women.

But 10 years on – where are they all now?

Andy is now an editor and, 'she's not that super naive 22-year-old who's scared of her own shadow; she's a confident career woman now,' Weisberger says.

'She's made a place for herself in the magazine world, she's about to get married, she's found a lot of security and success - of course, we all know that exactly when it seems that way, things come in to throw that all off balance. But it was nice working with the new Andy.'

Andy now runs a high-fashion bridal magazine alongside Emily, her former arch enemy at Runway. Weisberger says the pair have become, 'partners in crime, for better or for worse.'

However Miranda Priestly will remain the same, cooking up new ways to torment Emily and Andy as they take on the publishing world, and tackle dramas in their personal lives including a hot new love interest.

The author says she didn't struggle to separate the original characters from their Hollywood portrayals, well, 'Everyone except Emily - she will always be Emily Blunt to me,' she said.

Although there have been no plans for a film adaption yet, we would like to see all these actresses back in these roles please. Thank you.

Let's relive the fun shall we?
