TV bosses have apparently called a truce and agreed to avoid X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing clashing in the TV schedules this year.
According to the Daily Star, X Factor will air once the early Strictly show has finished to make sure it scores the best ratings possible.
Previously, Simon Cowell deliberately started X Factor before Strictly finished so that viewers had to decide whether or not to switch over. After ratings fell last season, it would seem Mr Cowell has learned his lesson.
A source told the Daily Star: "ITV will not risk going up against Strictly. They are concerned that the ratings were low last year and it is vital for advertising fees that they get big audiences."
