What's the film about?

The films follows the crew of the Enterprise find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organisation.

Who's in it? Chris Pine, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg and Alice Eve

Handbag hearts:

What can we say, we're massive Trekkies at heart so we loved the film!

After having our socks blown off with the first film, we were a bit scared that the sequel might not be able to continue the success of the first flick.

But they is nothing to worry about when you've got Benedict Cumberbatch on board.

He is ridiculously good as a bad guy and we don't know about you but his deep bad guy voice was slightly hypnoticing when we watched the flick.

The film is actually quite emotional and we liked that.

The relationship between Captain Kirk and Spock is even more heart-warming than ever and we had to laugh as Spock and Nyota got into lovers tiffs at the most awkward times.

It's like watching a big family that you'll always love no matter what mistakes they might make.

Scotty, Chekov, Bones and Zulu bring in a lot of laughs as well, though most of them do come from Scotty.

Simon Pegg is freaking brilliant in the role.

Complaints:

There wasn't anyt big issue that we feel the need to bring up.

In a way we felt the female characters were sidelined a little bit and didn't bring much to the film as a whole but considering the film was so focused on Kirk and Spock's relationship we can let it go.

Standout moment:

Benedict Cumberbatch reveaking his true purpose...it was just a bit scary!

Verdict: If you liked the first one then you'll be perfectly happy with the second offering from J.J. Abrams and his lovely crew!. 3 stars

P.S. Seriously, Benedict Cumberbatch is just too awesome!

Star Trek: Into Darkness is out in cinemas from 9 May 2013.
