Pregnant Kate Middleton was spotted doing some antiquing in Norfolk over the weekend as she works on the royal home makeover in preparation for the arrival of her first baby.
Apparently, nosy parkers spotted the Duchess of Cambridge browsing through antiques at the Mews Antique Emporium in the market town of Holt while on a weekend away with girlfriends.
Despite the shop specialising in furniture, books and all manner of vintage collectables – Kate left empty handed as she is opting for a more contemporary feel for her nursery.
According to a friend of the royals, 'Kate has good taste but she prefers a more contemporary style.'
A spokesperson for the shop said, 'The Duchess looked radiant and well. She was happy to mingle with other customers and security was very low key.
'No purchases were made by the Duchess, although some were made by her friends.'
KELLY HOPPEN TO DESIGN NURSERY FOR KATE MIDDLETON?
Apparently the Duchess and Prince William are in the middle of renovating their home in Kensington, London, which will include a nursery for the new addition.
An interior designer has been appointed for the job, but it the palace have kept tight lipped on who it is (although rumours are that Kelly Hoppen is on the case).
The royal couple are also thought to be adding a nursery to Anmer Hall on the Queen's Sandringham Estate so that they can use the country plot for weekend getaways.
The mansion includes 10 bedrooms, a swimming pool and a tennis court – perfect for a whole brood of royal babies then!
