Girls actor Christopher Abbott has quit the popular TV series after reportedly clashing with creator Lena Dunham.
The handsome actor will no longer grace our screens as Marnie's boyfriend Charlie according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Apparently Christopher has had enough and abruptly quit the show because he wasn't happy with the direction the show was going in.
His rep said, "[Chris] is grateful for the experience of collaborating with Lena [Dunham], Judd [Apatow] and the entire Girls cast and crew, but right now he's working on numerous other projects and has decided not to return to the show."
Speaking to New York Post's Page Six, "They've just started work on Season 3, and Chris is at odds with Lena.
"He didn't like the direction things are going in, which seems a bit odd since the show put him on the map."
HBO has declined to comment on the news but considering Charlie reunited with Marnie in the finale of the second series, we really don't know what this means for the show.
