Mark Wright's first primetime show My Man Can has been put on hold by ITV.

The telly programme which sees women test their men in a series of challenges – from eating chillies to limbo-dancing, has reportedly been shelved indefinitely.

According to Now magazine, the ex-TOWIE star told a friend, 'It was meant to be shown last year, then it was going to be spring. I don't know what's going on with it now.'

The programme's format is already a hit in Germany and China and would have seen Mark present his first primetime ITV show alongside Melanie Sykes.

This comes as a blow after Mark's stint as a presenter on The Take Me Out: The Gossip. Could it be back off to Essex with you Mark?
