One textile mill has taken the royal connection to the next level...

The Lupton Blanket inspired by Kate Middleton's Great Grandma
A prestigious Yorkshire textile mill with a royal heritage has created a blanket named after the Duchess of Cambridge's great-grandmother.

The super king-sized 'Lupton Blanket' features white and scarlet melange strips made from 100% Shetland wool. It's being manufactured exclusively by specialist textile mill Hainsworth, which has been a luxury fabric supplier to the Ministry of Defence and the iconic Royal Guards for decades.

They also provided the uniform cloth for Prince William as bridegroom and Prince Harry as best man at the Royal Wedding!

Hainsworth's took over William Lupton & Co, which belonged to Kate Middleton's great-grandmother Olive Lupton, in 1958, which is why they've chosen to honour the family with a unique design.

The Lupton Blanket will cost £450 and is available online at Scarletandargent.co.uk
