Walking down the aisle is daunting, but keep calm the morning of your wedding with this effective breathing exercise.

To quell those butterflies and nerves, find somewhere quiet for two minutes, shut the door and take a seat.

Now close your eyes and start breathing in through your nose.

Inhale for a count of two, hold it there for one, and then exhale slowly counting until four. Finish by holding your empty breath there for a count of one.

Repeat for a few minutes, focusing on keeping your breathing slow, even and controlled.

You can increase the numbers by breathing in for four and out for six or eight if it feels too short.

Calm should now be restored.
