Gamu's exit from the X Factor was one of the biggest shocks ever but now she's back with her début single, Shake The Room.
The singer will release Shake the Room as the first single from her debut album A Love Like This.
Speaking to the Mail Online, Gamu said,"I wanted to make something that would last, something timeless, classic and classy - like a Chanel suit.
"It was all about what direction I wanted to take, about trying to find who I was. Most of the songs are about love, because I wanted to sing about what I knew.
"I wanted things I could relate to: being in love, and heartbreak. The same things any young person will write about, really."
Gamu's X Factor exit during the Judges' Houses stage of The X Factor back in 2010 caused national outcry, after her mentor Cheryl Cole opted to take through Katie Waissel, Cher Lloyd and Rebecca Ferguson.
But after getting through some legal drama about whether her family could stay in the country, Gamu Nhengu has signed to Scottish independent record label GSound Records and will release her first studio album later this year.
