It's official. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are the best couple ever.

No more so than after the Argo director made his Oscars acceptance speech, where he said that a good marriage doesn't just happen. You have to work at it.

The emotional Affleck said, 'I want to thank my wife, for working on our marriage, for ten Christmases. It's good, it is work, but it is the best type of work and there is no one I'd rather work with. '

Cue the rumour mill speculating their marriage is on the rocks.

Speaking to Access Hollywood after the ceremony he clarified, 'All marriages, all relationships to a certain extent, require your work. They require work and investment. We work on it together, we try our best. Nobody's perfect. I would be lying to you if I said that either she or I were...She's more perfect than I am, I can tell you that.'

We think it was refreshing to see someone be honest about marriage at this type of event instead of just gushing (cough, newlywed Anne Hathaway talking about soul mates), and just showed the maturity that comes from having been married for ten years.

The father of three then broke down when it came to thanking his children, saying, 'Violet, Sam and Sera, I love you, this is for you.'

Teach us about the ways of a happy relationship oh wise Yoda.
