Confused.com is asking British women to reveal their dating disasters in a bid to find out if 'Dating Insurance' is a modern day necessity.

Soon women might be able to reclaim money spent on disastrous first dates, especially considering 74% of encounters don't go according to plan.

According to the insurance comparison site, 16% of men and 18% of women have left before the end of a date because the meet-up was so awful. Plus, 47% of online daters have admitted they've been on a date with someone who looks absolutely nothing life their profile. Awkward!

The new Date Insurance product is currently being trialled, to highlight the fact that single women have to pay up to £400 more for car insurance than married women.

Even if you're not paying for the food, the cost of transport, new clothes, make-up and drinks is enough to put a dent in the average woman's bank balance. Basically Confused.com are giving all the single ladies out there a little helping hand...

So if you want Date Insurance to be rolled out nationwide, you'll need to click here and register your interest.
