Is it just us or are Hollywood updating ever single fairytales known to man?

Not that we're complaining mind. If anything, we happy to see our favourites tales getting a 21st century twist.

Who doesn't love a butt-kicking Snow White or the fact Hansel and Gretel went rogue and started hunting the witches instead.

Check out these revamps and let us know what you think....

Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters

Who's in it? Gemma Arterton, Jeremy Renner

Why we think we'll love it?

The infamous brother and sister are all grown up and after their horrific childhood experieince their out for witch's blood!

Gemma is looking HOT and we already know how fit Jeremy is after watching running about in The Bourne Legacy and The Avengers Aseemble.

What's not to love?

Jack The Giant Slayer

Who's in it? Nicholas Hoult, Stanley Tucci, Ewan McGregor, Bill Nighy

Why we think we'll love it?

First we're pretty excited to see Tony off Skins (Nicholas Hoult) in a big Hollywood blockbuster with the likes of Ewan McGregor.

And the film itse'f doesn't look too bad. They've completely thrown the original storyline to the side but it might work.

Snow White and The Huntsman

Who's in it? Charlize Theron, Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth, Sam Claflin

Why we loved it?

K Stew as a sword weilding Snow White? It's safe to say this was a very epic retelling of a classic tale. Even though the film is forever tainted by the cheating scandal between Kristen and Rupert Sanders, nothing can stop us from being excited for the second flick!

Snow White And The Huntsman is out on DVD now.

Sleeping Beauty

Who's in it? Emily Browning

Why we loved it?

Okay we're not sure we LOVED the film but they get full brownie points for taking the title of this classic and using it so literally. It's a dramatic representation on serious issues in our society... a bit like original fairytales themselves!

Sleeping Beauty is out on DVD now.

Red Riding Hood

Who's in it? Amanda Seyfried, Gary Oldman

Why we loved it?

This flick was made by the same director as the first Twilight so we were hooked on the love traingle and all the tension leading to a dramatic twist at the end. Amanda Seyfried was the perfect choice as the innocent wide-eyed riding hood.

Red Riding Hood is out on DVD now.

Mirror Mirror: The Untold Adventures of Snow White

Who's in it? Lily Collins, Julia Roberts, Armie Hammer

Why we love it?

This films didn't get as much love as Snow White And The Hunstman but we liked the tongue in cheek humour. We like when Fairytales are funny and child friendly!

Mirror Mirror is out on DVD now.

Who's in it? Kristin Kreuk, Jay Brown

Why we love it? Erm hello, does anyone else recognise Lana from Smallville here! One of the many updates for TV, this show sees Beast being the product of a government experiment!
