Too much booze, food and festive fun causes chaos for employers and employees...

Women drinking at party
If you're considering how many drinks to have at the office Christmas party, we recommend you stick to one or two if you don't want the night to end in disaster.

According to HR departments across the nation, one in ten office Christmas parties will end in disciplinary action or dismissal for an unlucky employee.

Half of those surveyed admitted the cause of the disciplinary action was for engaging in romantic or sexual activity with a colleague on the premises.

So perhaps that snog under the mistletoe isn't such a good idea after all!

One in three staff in the UK have admitted to having drunken sex with a colleague at the office Christmas party, with 64% saying it made things awkward at work the next day.

Errr, you think?!

Even worse, just over half said that they had passionately kissed the boss at the annual do.

So when your boss wakes up, with a hangover from hell and memories that you tried to chat him up outside the ladies loo, don't forget to buy him a Monday morning coffee...

Are you going to be on your best behaviour this year?
