James has made history on iTunes in the UK after selling 187,000 copies in the space of 24 hours.
So James has beat the likes of Leona Lewis, Little Mix, Alexandra Burke and Matt Cardle who sold less in the same time frame after their X Factor winds.
James tweeted his thanks to fans as he said:
Wow just seen the figures for the single sales and it's blowing my mind! Thankyou all for buying it on iTunes #impossible— James Arthur (@JamesArthur23) December 11, 2012
James is set for a Number 1 this Sunday and he'll probably still be up there a week later when the Christmas No1 is announced.
The money raised from sales of the single will go to children's charity, Together For Short Lives.
