This isn't something you hear every day...
A student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, is planning to marry a cardboard cut-out of Robert Pattinson's Twilight character, Edward, in a lavish January ceremony.
24-year-old Lauren Adkins has bagged an engagement ring, set a date and now she's picking out the perfect dress according to the Las Vegas Review Journal.
She is also planning a full-scale bachelorette party, a cake and a wedding photographer who can document her union...to a piece of cardboard.
If you were hoping this was some kind of high profile publicity stunt you'd be wrong because Miss Adkins is deadly serious.
In fact, she'll be using the whole experience for her Master's Degree thesis project that delves into the murky world of Las Vegas.
She explained, "Edward Cullen is really tied to the idea of Vegas for me. The fantasy behind it can never be achieved. It's the ultimate facade."
Errrmm, okay then.
One of Lauren's friends, Jordan Reynolds, said the bride-to-be isn't just an obsessed fan 'with no life'.
He revealed, "She's very level-headed. She's sort of challenging the stereotype of the crazy, obsessed Twlight fan. She uses her art as a way to amplify her voice."
Even her professors at University are backing the project.
We're sure someone's already asked this question, but can you actually marry cardboard?
