Can you believe it has only been a year since cult erotic fiction Fifty Shades of Grey spanked it's way into book history?
For author EL James, it's been a year to remember. Now after the success of the book, we all sit with our paddles waiting for the film adaption to get underway.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, the author has spoken out about the rocketing success of her novels and what it will take to be Christian Grey.
She explained that, "I think emotional intelligence, a sense of humour" are the key attributes needed to fill the role.
"I feel like we haven't got that far yet in the process. We're still at the script stage, so we're a long way off."
Gutted. We want a name dagnabbit!
James confessed that she fell off her chair after being approached about film rights last December, saying to her husband, "What the f— is happening? What is all of this?"
She has since teamed up with Hollywood producer Michael De Luca and screenwriter Kelly Marcel for the adaption.
"Michael is so passionate about the film and he really got it. He really got the book. He understood it was a love story, fundamentally.
He said it this is about first love, and it's her first love and his first love, and I haven't thought about it like that. It's blinding stuff. He just got right underneath it. He was impressive."
James also spilled that she plans to be very hands on with the filming.
We. Can. Not. Wait.
