5 food stuffs to avoid eating before you get married

Make sure your last meal as a single woman doesn't hamper your wedding…

Champagne
1. Beans
They ain't called the musical fruit for nothing.

Baked beans contain a type of sugar that the body doesn't digest. When that sugar hits your large intestine, the bacteria that try to break-it down produce gas as an unfortunate by-product.

Don't trump your way down the aisle.

2. Sweetener
If you've been on a hard-core wedding diet, you might be opting for sweetener over sugar.

However the fake sugar is hard to digest and it can lead to bloating and discomfort. To be truly virtuous avoid real and fake sugar altogether.

3. Booze
It can be tempting to pile through the champagne and wine in the run up to the wedding – but save yourself for the big day and cut out booze for two weeks before the wedding.

Alcohol weakens the digestive system and makes you puffy and bloated. It will also make your skin look dull and let's not forget all those empty calories!

4. Salt
Sodium causes you to retain water and that equals bloating. Reduce all salt intake and keep it under 2 mg a day.

5. Bubbles
Yes Diet Coke is a weight conscious girl's best friend, but what makes it fizzy? Little bubbles of gas.

And those bubbles will carry on doing the same thing when in your tummy.

To avoid feeling gassy or bloated, cut out any drink with bubbles in (that includes Champers! Sorry.)
