It might be a bit of a gender stereotype (sorry boys!) but men don't have the best track record of buying Christmas presents.
So it's no wonder that new research has found that record numbers of women are telling them to forget it and are buying their own presents this year.
Nearly half of us have bought their own gifts for a special occasion in the past, with an incredible one in ten regularly buying their own gifts.
Oh come on ladies, they can't be that bad!
The survey from Barclaycard has found that the amount spent on self-gifting has risen to almost £280 a year, with women happy to spend £210 on a big ticket item on behalf of their partners.
Clothing and footwear topped the list as the most likely thing people were sorting out themselves, with most saying they simply don't trust their family and friends to get it right.
