What's the film about?
Bond. James Bond. After the slight blip that was Quantum of Solace, Skyfall follows Bond as he tries to get back a hard-drive which has a list of all the undercover MI6 operatives in terrorist organisations.
Soon the mission to find out who's using the information leds Bond on a journey that reveals a revenge plot by mystery man Silva.
Who's in it? Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Naomie Harris, Bérénice Marlohe, Dame Judy Dench, Ralph Fiennes,
Javier Bardem is so good at being bad. Being a bad guy that is! He is already one of our favourite Bond baddies after the performance he delivers in this flick.
There's one part where he gets rather close and personal with a tied up 007 that literally made us squirm.
Since Quantum of Solace got a bit of a bash from the critics, we loved how the story was so well thought out and that the focus was back in Britain.
We think Daniel Craig is a great Bond. We love staring into those blue eyes and there's nothing better than the rapport between him and Dame Judy.
While we love Daniel Craig, he does seem a bit tired in the film. We accept part of that is because Bond himself is not at his personal best but we couldn't help but think that Daniel needs a bit of rest after this film.
Bérénice Marlohe is a stunning Bond girl as expected but unfortunately we didn't really fell the chemistry between her and Daniel. We still loved that shower scene though.
Verdict: Skyfall is a very fitting film to celebrate fifty years of Bond. You won't be disappointed.
P.S. If you leave the cinema wanting a little bit of Bond with you then you might want to pick up the new 007 fragrance. Give it to your partner or spray it on your pillow. Not that we do that...
