Lily Allen made headlines with her song Hard Out Here, about objectification and inequality. So are all her provocative, near naked photos empowering or hypocritical?

So over the weekend, while you were spring cleaning your wardrobe or watching the Hollyoaks omnibus, Lily Allen was posting a snap of herself almost entirely naked.

Of course she was.

After causing such a stir with her video and lyrics for her song Hard Out Here, we're feeling a bit confused by her choice of social media pic.

Her song was a ranty yet catchy track about feminism and inequality.

So, while she's singing, "don't you want to have someone to objectify you," she's posting pictures of herself without any clothes on...

She also posted this picture with the caption, "@harriet_verney with one of my extensions tucked in her pants."

Harmless (but seriously weird) fun or yet another provocative bid to get noticed with lady bits?

Fans of Lily are adamant that she's never said that women should avoid being sexual or getting their kit off.

But is she really just posting this photo for her own benefit?

There's not a little part of her doing it for attention and record sales?

Do you think Lily Allen is a hypocrite?
