Poured straight from a teapot, made from loose tea and sipped from a china mug - that's the perfect brew for the best cup of tea. Apparently.
A new survey by CheapHolidayLand.com has confirmed our fears that we're a nation of pompous tea obsessives.
Apparently, two thirds of Brits would rather have freshly brewed leaf tea poured from a pot into a china mug (What?! No novelty mugs?).
We're picturing lots of pinky fingers in the air and Pride and Prejudice-style china.
50% of Brits reckon a solid two minutes is the ideal brewing time, except the hardcore types who said three minutes. We're going to go out on a limb and say they're builders.
And milk before pouring? Nope, sorry we just can't get down with 62% of the population on that.
Is this really the best way to make a tea? This is important stuff, people. Tweet us @handbagcom#
