As Bryan Mills and his ex-wife Lenore finally move on from the horror of their daughter's kidnap, the family find themselves back in the horror story that just doesn't want to leave their lives.
Turns out the parents of the guys Bryan had to kill to save his daughter feel they need to avenge their criminal, slave trading ways and make Bryan pay for the pain he has caused.
Next thing you know Bryan and his wife are 'taken' and now their daughter Kin has to come to their defence...
Who's in it? Liam Neeson, Famke Janssen, Maggie Grace
Well Liam Neeson obviously. He is still awesome and we will never tire of watching beat up people so efficiently.
We love the fact that his daughter gets to go from victim to hero in this flick. We'd like to think we'd be able to save our parents if our dad was Liam, we mean Bryan.
The film is a lot like the first film for all the right reasons. The tension, the suspense, the action and way more laughs than we were expecting.
We won't lie - this film didn't need to be made. The story might be good viewing but you aren't as scared as you were when you watched the first one.
We know Bryan and his family are going to survive because he is amazing. So you're kind of watching and waiting for the happy ending to happen.
Also, we were getting really annoyed with the kidnappers dad going on and on like his son's were kidnapping, drugging and selling women. It really starts to get on your nerves and just ruins the plot a little bit.
Verdict: A crowd pleaser for anyone who liked the first film and for those who haven't watched it yet. Liam Neeson proves that you can still be a Hollywood action hero, no matter what age you are.
P.S. Have we mentioned we love Liam?
