But according to new insider sources, Corrie bosses are planning to kill her off in a huge 'whodunnit' storyline. Gutted.
The big decision comes after a disappointing year of ratings that saw BBC One's EastEnders trump ITV's offerings. Now bosses are going to use Michelle's pre-planned Corrie exit to make a splash in a similar way to 'Who shot Phil Mitchell?' in 2001.
A source told The Sun. "They've been weighing up whether to kill Tina off and believe it is the best way to get maximum ratings. It will set up a cliffhanger leaving viewers guessing who killer her."
But will Michelle and the Corrie producers manage to beat these classic soap 'whodunnit' story-lines? Take a peek and remind yourself...
Who shot Phil Mitchell? EastEnders
Nasty Phil Mitchell was gunned down outside his house on 1 March 2001, but audiences didn't learn that it was Phil's ex-girlfriend Lisa Shaw who shot him until 6 April. 19.8 million people watched the 'big reveal' episode and the kick-off of a UEFA Cup semi-final football game was delayed in order to avoid a programming clash.
Who killed Tom King? Emmerdale
This Christmas Emmerdale plot in 2006 had fans reeling. Tom King was battered with an ornament, pushed through a window and killed on his wedding night - but there were plenty of people with a murderous motive. They even developed a 'Who Killed Tom King?' website so viewers could play along! Tom's son Carl confessed to the murder the following May - a whopping five months later.
Who killed Texas? Hollyoaks
Hollyoaks' Texas Longford was planning to leave her fiancée Will for pretty boy Dodger...but that was before she fell out of a window in her wedding dress. Five suspects were set up by Hollyoaks producers, but they revealed that Will was the real killer a few days later. It didn't go on for very long, but boy was it good!
