Isla Fisher, Guy Pearce, Heath Ledger, Julian McMahon and our current squeeze Chris Hemsworth all started their acting careers in Australian soap Home and Away and now the cast and crew are on their way to London.
Producers have announced their intention to film special London episodes of the long running Aussie soap in conjunction with Channel 5. Amazing!
Shooting will start this autumn with a number of central cast members jetting to the UK for a dramatic new storyline. Show chiefs have said that the characters involved will be "embarking on a desperate fight to hang onto what is most important in life - love and family". Oooohhhh.
Greg Barnett, commissioning editor for Home and Away's UK broadcaster Channel 5, admitted, "Although we can't reveal much about the storyline at present, I can promise fans this is going to be one not to miss. It's great to have the show filming these very special episodes in the UK, and as a huge fan myself I'm very, very excited!"
The cast last stepped onto British shores in 2001 when Donald Fisher (played by Norman Coburn) attempted to launch his book overseas. Another storyline in 1998 saw the cast visit Ironbridge in Shropshire...weird.
Check out a very young Chris Hemsworth riding to his wedding on a horse...
