Amanda Bynes has been ordered to stay in a psychiatric hospital for another two weeks after her parents apparently asked doctors to recommend it. The actress has also been showing signs of 'schizophrenic tendencies'.
The troubled star was hospitalised earlier this week after she sparked a small fire on a driveway near her parents house in California. She was taken into custody for an involuntary mental evaluation, also known as a 5150 order, where she was under surveillance for 72 hours.
However, it's believed that a judge ruled that the actress should be kept for at least another two weeks in the hospital after hospital sources have said, "There's a good Amanda and a bad Amanda."
Speaking of 'bad Amanda', TMZ reports, "She almost mimics an exorcism, pulling at her body as if to remove the demon, and even biting herself."
Although the Hairspray actress' lawyer argued against the claim, apparently her parents asked doctors to recommend that she remains under surveillance as they believe it's for the best.
The couple have also filed for emergency control of Amanda's personal and business affairs. How will the actress will feel about that, considering she slammed them as 'ugly' on Twitter not long ago.
Mum and dad don't seem bothered and have been spotted visiting their daughter at the hospital, adamant that they will stick by her side and ensure she receives the help she needs.
A source told RadarOnline, "Rick will be there for his daughter, no matter what.
"They just want her to get the help she needs, and recognise that it could be a long process. She's their daughter, and they are committed to getting her better."
Amanda has undergone an extensive toxicology screening since being admitted, but nothing was found in her system apart from marijuana.
