Britain has become quite accustomed to a patriotic excuse to party, be it the royal wedding, the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and now the arrival of the royal baby.
But are we all being a bit too nosey when it comes to Kate Middleton's labour?
The press are camped outside St Mary's Hospital, the public are perched on the steps of Buckingham Palace, and the rest of us are updating our Twitter feeds like it's a 24-hour episode of The Apprentice.
In between the #babynews updates though, some of my Twitter feed are openly boggled by the obsession and I'm beginning to agree.
I will coo over baby merchandise and scoff themed food in a heartbeat, but is Kate's dilation progress really any of our business? Ick.
I'll be over here learning to crochet until the boy/girl debate can actually be resolved…
But do you think we should have round-the-clock updates from Kate's Lindo wing? Or should we give the gal some space? Share your comments below!
