Beyonce and Jay Z managed to push that whole Solange lift situ under the rug like the media pros we all knew they were. Bravo brand Beyonce.

Next time your life takes a rather public tumble somewhere between embarrassment street and 'what the f--- do I do now' town, ask what would Beyonce do?

How to recover from an embarrassing situation like Beyonce

1. Fake it 'til you make it
Saw that pic of Solange and Bey looking all happy? Social media is a great place for projecting a rose tinted glasses version of life. Whatever has happened, make like Bey and show people what you want to.

2. Own it, then dismiss it
People talk longer about something if you try and brush it under the carpet. When it is no longer speculation and gossip - people move on to something more titillating.

Release your own form of a verbal 'statement' (basically telling a few loud mouth friends), acknowledging the situation and then telling everyone to kindly butt out. Own it and then release it.

3. Keep it private
The world does not need to know every little detail about your life. Some things are best kept behind closed doors. Ask yourself, would you rather handle this situation like Katie Price or Beyonce?

4. Top your own mistake
Just after the incident-that-shall-not-be-named, brand Jay Z and Beyonce released a movie about their upcoming tour.

They topped all the bad press with something good and reminded everyone why they are awesome. Brand back on top.
