Have your say on female tennis players here

Maria SharapovaFemale tennis players at Wimbledon may need more than a mean backswing if they want to play on centre court - the All England Tennis Club have admitted that attractiveness is a factor when officials are working out which courts to allocate to players.

This year's competition has seen a succession of young, glamourous yet low-ranking players appear on centre court, while older, high-ranking players have been moved to courts one and two, including second seed Serena Williams. Centre court has so far featured players such as world No 59 Maria Kirilenko.

A BBC source told the Daily Mail that it is up to the Wimbledon offiials to organise court allocation, but that 'Brits and babes' pulled in the biggest viewing figures.

What do you think? Should players be judged on their appearance or their ability?
