Whats your take on sitting with a brew in one hand with a book in the other versus all this synching to your phone or ipod?

Well my friends keep telling me how wonderful these e-readers are, but I'm still clinging to the old-fashioned book, with its cover illustrations, particular smell and ability to put on my book-shelf

I think both have a time and a place. I get awfully motion sick so I can't read on long journeys, but I'd be able to listen to an audio book without a problem.

But I do love holding a book and smelling the pages too. I couldn't imagine being without physical books.

I tried listening to audio books, but for me, that's only possible when I can do something really mind numbing. Even sitting still is not good, because then I feel I'm wasting my time.

I used to dream of "something like a book, but smaller and lighter and I could put the pdfs for university on there" before I knew there was talk about creating e-readers. But then I had a look how those things were going to be like and I just want my books, ink smudges included.

Truth is beautiful, without doubt; but so are lies.

I LOVE books! I read everyday and devour many stories. I prefer the good old fashioned paperback to audio. There's a certain romance to reading a book. It is relaxing and engaging and just a good way to spend time. Books will never age: even in the digital age.
