I'm sure it's not just me who feels glum once they return from hols. Mostly I just want to sleep and very much don't want to be at work! What do others do to ease themselves back in?

I'm tempted to just book another holiday so I have something to look forward to, would happily take advice on any European cities worth visiting - I've not been to many....

Coops. My thoughts exactly.

I only went on holiday for one day; that was more disappointing than feeling anticlimactic upon return.

i think i speak for everyone when saying i cant bloody wait until the kids go back to school - piss off smeg m8!!!

i know how you feel but on a slightly lesser level .. i havent been on holiday for about 2 years now because where i live is like being on holiday (!) but ive just had 4 days off from work, returned today and i feel soooooo tired and i cant be bothered to do anything!! why is it that whenever i dont have to get up for work, i wake up early and feel great, and when i do have to work, all i want to do is go back to bed for 5 more hours...

Me either Roller! I could throttle the brats next door, can't open the window because of their screeching.

I have post bank holiday monday blues, was walking round work huffing and sighing and I didn't even do anything worthwhile yesterday when I had the chance!

Eurgh.
Oh speaking of silly little girls, I'm fairly sure I met the Antichrist on holiday in the form of a very tubby 6 year old girl - she was hideous and her parents did nothing to stop her from screaming nonsense.

I feel the same way Coops. I've been back from my holidays for 3 weeks and have spent every day wanting to go back to the sun! It's such a struggle to get back into work.

I've booked my next week off work already (and booked my Xmas shopping trip) - just to give me something to look forward to.

Well it depends on if you've got a 'sxi man' to look at at work - it might be just as refreshing as a holiday.

Oh, I'm glad it's not just me! I was in Italy this time last week... came back on Saturday afternoon and felt so terribly depressed. OH and I ended up having a big fight about it because he said I was spoiling the last day of the holiday, but honestly I just wanted to lie under my duvet and cry. He didn't seem to understand! Holiday thus a dim and distant memory now.

Definitely struggling this week - but we have planned a nice week of yummy food in the evening which is helping me get through the days at work and got lots of episodes of True Blood and Mad Men to catch up on! Also cat sitting for a friend from Wednesday until the weekend and SOOOOO excited about that!

Completely agree. My horrible boss has just returned from sick leave after 6 weeks off and he's still as horrible as before.

I love True Blood, complete trash but strangely compelling!!!
