Hey all,

Just thought I would post a wee hello, how-do?

Anyone still around!

I am hoping so, I miss this board.

I am on a mission personally to lose a stone by X-Mas. Constantly kicking myself for letting it slip on!! Grr!!!

Starting a new gym, weights programme tonight and keeping up my much loved classes for cardio.

Have a good evening all!

trying to stay off the sweets and work out more yeah. My fitness is excellent it's the chocolate cravings that are killing me!!

Cals in must be less than cals out and all that!

Hi Sunnybears

I'm trying to get fitter at the moment too, wouldn't mind shifting a few pounds. Finding it difficult getting started though, I had one run last week and then came down with the flu! Am considering joining a gym though and getting into some classes.

I just find it so hard to stay motivated, it just takes so long to make any difference.

Maybe we can find mutual motivation on here!

dates area great substitue for sweet things but only a few and once you take away the habit for sweet things you wont crave them keep the habit for 10 days and it will be broken. biscuits are the worst, by some nuts, raisins and dates to satsify you and essentially dont eat at your desk at all! at snak time make sure you are seated somewhere else so you are eating conciously

That's my big failing as well. Attacking the sweetie machine at 3pm in the office!!

Also on a Friday after a busy week at work I want to hit the couch with a big bag of sweets! So bad!

I have started my food diary again today and I am hoping I can maybe go cold turkey with regards the choc. Trying to limit myself doesn't work I think choc-celibacy might be the only way.

I average about 5-7 classes at the gym per wekk so I am quite active on the exercise scale. I sit on my arse all day at work though so that is not good!

Igloo is right. Once you stop eating them, you stop wanting them so much. I used to have a horribly sweet tooth and eat lots of choc but forced myself to stop and now I'm not bothered. I think it comes down to retraining your tastebuds.

I'm quite lucky in that I don't have a sweet tooth - but then maybe thats because I don't eat much stuff like that which stops me craving it? I don't know. My problem is more with carbs. I crave them, I need them. That and the fact I think my portion sizes are just too big. I keep saying to myself I need to reduce the amount that I eat, but it never actually happens.

SO maybe I just need to give up on that and just exercise more!

My sin is fatty stuff like cheese and mayonaise. I'm trying to cut down on dairy but it's hard. I love cheese
