just need to get my head around this, not been on facebook long but I added an ex on there only as a friend, and he responded straight away and added me on alongside sending me an email the next morning for a week. He has left his partner his and he is now single.He mentioned his life, asked about mine, said I looked well etc etc....
I am with someone and happy but heard he was going through a lot with mum now passed and his dad on his way too so had a real tough month. I just wanted to pass on my apologies to him.
He asked to meet up one day for drinks etc, he left it a while and said to leave it as he was looking after his dad. I mentioned it may well be best to leave it completely due to me being in a relationship as well but wished him well and thanked him for the offer.
We were both pleasant enough and things were fine, and as I work on TV I asked him if he was interested in joining our new show which is around singles etc....he said he would try it.
Now a week later, he has deleted me off facebook just out of the blue....YOU WHAT?
So havent done anything just thought, boy that was a surprise......trying not to take this personally but I am. I am happy in a relationship but we were just friends and not expecting anything else from him either he is annoyed or I dont know!?! he was really pleased to hear from me when I added him and shocked and said thank you and it was him who contacted me out of the blue via email constantly...not me.....now this....charming!!

hmm sounds to me that because you're in a relationship, this is the reason he has deleted you. Try not to take it personally.. it has nothing to do with anything you have done, it's his 'stuff' and you know what guys' egos are like. It sounds like he's got alot on his mind with what's going on in his life, could be he starting thinking about the times you used to have etc. and realises that he needs to move on too, as you've done. x
it's facebook, he's an ex, just ignore it. it's not the end of the world. i had an ex do this to me and it turns out his new gf said he had to delete me from his list as i was an ex. he got back in touch 4 months later when he split with her, full of apologies etc.
just don't let it bother you. focus on current relationships, not past ones.

Don't sweat the small stuff! (yeh, I'm a fine one to talk!) I get bothered by my boyf being on facebook for different reasons; but attheend of the day its a virtual site and not reality. Take it as a compliment - he was clearly disappointed you weren't single! Forget about it. Unfortunately this is what happens when we try to be nice to exes - they take it all the wrong way... K.x
Don't you just love facebook and the fact that we take it so seriously!! How did we manage to conduct our lives before we had it. I think alot of these sites just make you feel more paranoid than you normally would be. You said you weren't interested so he deleted you end off.
I deleted my ex from Facebook, as although we ended as friends, I still find it a bit painful to read what he's up to without me. It just needs a bit of time. It could be that he's just deleted his account for a while whilst he grieves his parents. ?? try not to take it personally, he sounds like he has a lot on his plate at the moment. xx
Agree, sounds as though that is his only reason for deleting you. Honestly, dont worry about it. Guys are weird at the best of times. Focus on your current relationship and leave the past where it is.
