I have a date ... on Friday with a fit fireman ... normally pre-date I'm rather chilled and easy *ahem* about it all .... this one I'm quite excited ... so who knows what could happen!!! So fingers crossed for me tomorrow woo hooo

I know, I know ... couldn't really believe my luck .... 1st good sign there were LOADS of pictures on his profile ... and they all look gooooooooood! Phwoar ... and he sent me one he took with his phone MMMMmmmmmm Mmmmm 2nd good sign we spoke on the phone, has a lovely deep manly voice - which I love and a good sense of humour.
So said date was arranged for tomorrow ...

Well, I have hung in there with The Grower but he's just not. Growing on me that is. Nice guy, but wants to speak every day and text all day. He turned up the morning of my birthday with a present, flowers and champagne...at 8 bl00dy am! He wants to take me to Paris for the weekend and seems to think that there is a whole boyfriend/girlfriend thang going on. He was even talkign about Christmas. And I've still not snogged him yet!
As my girlfriends have said though, if it was someone is was into being that attentive I'd be thrilled. But I'm not, I'm just annoyed by him. How horrible is that???
Will call him at the weekend to break it off. Not that there is anything to break off, but shoudl be courteous I feel.
And anyway...get you... a hunky firefighter...cue lots of childish commetns about his pole and his hose *Snigger*
oh god Satsuma!!! I'm a woman and i bothered a fella at 8.00 am once. I gave the taxi driver orders to drive me to his house and i knocked on the door. He said he was in bed!! Not when he was at the door obviously. No 8.00 am not a good time, SO I will RETHINK my plans in future.

OMG .... how funny .. dunno if you will remember this time last year ... Flowers & Chocolates guy ... the one who paid me all the attention, whisked me off for an all expenses paid weekend in Spain, very attentive ... and yet drove me bloody insane .. where everything he did pissed me off ... and I let him go on his fancy holiday and dumped him the day he got back remember....? Anyways .. what you have just said is EXACTLY how it was for me .... sometimes they just aren't growers ...
My mates said exactly the same thing to me too ... if you like him .. you would love the attention ... so there you go!
Getting really excited now .. great amount of communication leading up to the date .. poor guy was up all night fighting a big fire so he's bound to be knackered tonight though ....

i think my standards must be too high - but i can't face compromising myself to the point that i actually have a boyfriend! i keep doing the online dating thing and telling friends etc i'm available...but my list of what i don't want in a man seems to just get longer and longer. i do keep an open mind and haven't lost hope completely...but in a sense i'm coming to terms with the idea that it's highly possible i won't ever meet someone for a long term relationship. pants!

Hmm my date : a connundrum me-fears.
Met .. he was good looking, attentive and good company .. the evening went well in the pub .. it was upon leaving the pub that things seem a bit off-key.
We went to the car and sat in mine as it was freezing. There was chat but with an underlying subcontext ... one where I couldn't fathom out whether or not he did/didn't want another date and it had me all confused to I was probably a bit away with the fairies about it all too.
There was snoggage ... and decent snoggage at that. No further date was arranged.
We've spoken on the phone today .. and things have kinda gone off at a tangent so I'm a bit "hmmmmm" about it all now
