.. to go out on a date, fancy the guy and forget your "Don't Like" list.
Following on from my previous Thread!

You can't call me anything if not spontaneous, you can also probably call me a lot more than that since not one to let the grass grow! After the Fireman at the weekend .. I got chatting to a copper online .. who lives in my town. we exchanged numbers on Monday night and yesterday he asked if I was busy and did I fancy going for a drink ... so tough choice ... do I stay in and watch boring telly or go out for a drink.... so I agreed to meet up and ..
PHWOAR is my first impression and YES would be my next. He was lovely, we had a great time and I didn't find myself checking him out for things that I didn't like. I went back to his for a coffee ... and only a coffee! There was a small amount of snoggage and not once was there any awkward moments.
He only lives 2 streets away from me, how crazy is that and WHY haven't our paths crossed before now? LOL
Anyways .. I'm doing the *dating jig* right now, smiling to myself ... he's asked if we can do something this weekend as he's off (does shift work) and we can take things from there woo hoo.

We'll see lol
I think you just have to approach it in a matter of fact way rather than have any expectations. If you meet one, don't like them .. move on .. occasionally you're going to meet one that you like and they don't feel the same .. well that's their loss .. 'cos YOU know you're great!

Dyno - Gotta be in it to win it I say!

Go you DIA - The Copper sounds great, and shows that your reservations over the Fireman were well founded.

Just goes to show - Instinct, instinct, instinct - always follow it.

I broke things off with The Grower (who didn't) at the weekend but he has been texting asking for "a chat" and is going to call me tonight...could do without it to be honest, wish he would just let it go. Hopefully he will after tonight, although I really don't feel like talkign to him...we had four dates, no initimacy, I very nicely told him it wasn't for me...what else is there to say?!

Hey Sats
Some men are a bit like that - you tell them and tell them and yet still they don't listen. Flowers & Chocolates man was like that last year ... when I told him it wasn't working he kinda agreed with me and then carried on as if I hadn't said anything .. in the end I had to be excessively blunt and to the point and EVEN THEN ... he still said .. perhaps we could keep in touch, still go out for dinner etc and see how things pan out ...wtf ???
Are you going to meet him this weekend?
The Copper has text asking if I'm around tonight for a *ahem* coffee

hi dia

just want to pick your brains for a bit of dating advice if thats poss? have recently got back out there again after a car crash rellie from last year - have had two dates with one particular person - so far so good...we are meant to be seeing each other this eve, he rang me monday night to ask me to cinema - but i've not heard anything about the concrete plans? he'd said that he'd contact me to arrange everything but no word? i don't want to chase him as all i did was chase the last bloke and arrange stuff and got v badly hurt in the process....

what would you do in this situation? am v tempted to say to him if he contacts me that i've made other arrangements as i'd not heard from him....i don't want to sound stroppy but also don't want him to think i've been sitting around waiting for him to make contact either ? MEN!!! ahhh!

any advice greatly appreciated - not v experienced with all this dating lark! x

Awww sorry Queen, can't help you Im afraid I get it wrong all the time, surely though if he'd asked you and you said yes that would mean that you are, I don't think a quick phone call to confirm would be out of order.

Cheers dynomite he's messaged me and suggested a film that i want to watch so maybe he's not all bad after all - i spose i'm just super wary of being mucked about again .....

nothing ventured nothing gained i spose? x

There's no harm in you being wary, but at the same time you have to show a little faith. The best way forward in any relationship is open communication, don't be afraid to communicate because the worse that can happen is for someone to tell you there not that interested and hey ho there's plenty more sharks in the sea.

Hope the coffee is perked and steamy DIA!

Queeny, glad he got in touch - I don't think he's not done things according to plan. He called, set up the date, and confirmed details on the day...all sounds good to me. Try to relax honey...easy to say, hard to do I know, esp when you've been bitten before. But do try x
