On Tuesday! A friend and I decided we'd go for a bit of a laugh and a night away from the telly and you never know, Mr Right may be going too.
Has anyone ever done this before, and if so did you enjoy it? Was it hard starting a conversation with a random stranger?

Ah but the difference is you can spot a weirdo much more easily in real life (even if only in 3 minutes) than you can on t'internet. Fact.

I went years ago and made a couple of good friends out of it, my friend met her hubby the same night

They've been together nearly 5 years, I've not seen her for a while but the last I heard they were looking for a bigger house for when they have all their children they're expecting lol!!! It was a speed dating thing at tiger tiger, there was over 100 people there. I nearly went but I met my hubby back then and things were going quite well so I didn't feel the need to

I've been a couple of times myself - in fact that's how I met my lovely ex who doesn't like me.
The conversations are fine - you just talk about normal stuff and the time flies by. (I work in sales though so I talk to people I don't know a lot)
I won't lie to you Kel there will be some proper old-fashioned weirdos there but it will be funny and it will give you and your mate a lot to laugh about.
My advice is don't bother with the friends box cause it just complicates things.
Have fun!

Sharon I went on my own and I admit I was pant-poopingly nervous and I walked past the venue twice before actually going in. Once I was in though it was fine - I made friends with the girl at the table next to me and we had a right laugh and got a drink together at half time. I'm really glad I went cause I did meet lovely ex. He probably wishes he had walked straight past without going in though.

As Angie says if you google speed dating there are some sites which come up. The one who has organised the event I'm going to is called slow dating (cos you get an extra minute!!)
Oh I love speed dating ... it can be such a laugh!!
The best way to enjoy it is to have no expectations and then ou will find yourself much more relaxed .. it also helps to have a couple fo random questions to ask ... since most people say ... Hi I'm blah blah and then the conversation goes along the lines of where you live, work, hobbies etc ... after a couple of guys ... it's a yawnfest! SO think up some questions "outside" the box per sais.
One of my favorites was ... "What wouldn't you do for �1 million" - boy did I get some random answers like .. one guy who would eat his own sh*t, but not shag a minger.... to another who wouldn't eat his own sick but had a mate who would do it for �20!!!!! Strange, very strange lol
Ooooo maybe Baggers come come up with some random questions for you .....
